IT’S TIME TO GO DEEPER!
Sometime in May, on the news, there was a whale stuck in River Thames London. They reported that they don’t know how it got there, but some hours later, it was later said that it died. So, you see, this may have just been news, but to me, it was a physical reminder of the vision God showed me.
Many months ago, I woke up around 4am. I thought to myself, let me get out of bed and take advantage of the sleep that has left me by going downstairs to pray, but I had a vision just before I got out of bed. I saw a whale in a lake. Let me emphasise that I saw the whale’s perspective rather than seeing the whale in the lake. This is important to note because how God’s people see themselves in 2021 is critical. Seeing a whale in a lake or seeing a body of water that has a whale in it? God was showing me that I “was” like the whale in the lake. It was a moment of communication with God at 4am before I even prayed!
The next day, I began to research whales in lakes. I discovered that it is dangerous for the whale to live in the lake as it grows, and many cases leading to death! One article I came across by a marine biology degree holder puts it like this:

It got me thinking how many of God’s people are like whales living in inadequate environments? How many of God’s people’s gifts, voices, talents and skills are like whales in inadequate environments? Beloved, are you living to survive or thrive? The thing is, adapting to limitation may help you survive, but it won’t allow you to thrive!
Many of God’s people are like these whales in shallow pools of water. The salt of that water is not conducive for their growth, the food is scarce, and the place is too small for their development capacity. These small pools of water represent a limited mindset, unfruitful prayer life, slow spiritual growth, a toxic career or job, a cultic church environment, unideal home location, a bad circle of friends, a wrong business partnership or a love relationship. Different dimensions of limitation that all link to indirect or direct FEAR! Beloved, are you like a whale, but you have outgrown this season, that environment or relationship? You have outgrown certain friends or people? You are past the old way of doing things, and God is cultivating new habits within you, but something is holding you back?
When you decide to leave a lake, be prepared for those who live in a lake may laugh, scoff and call you a fool! However, make up your mind for change because the whales in a lake have appointments with two destiny thieves called sudden death and stagnation. Do not listen to bullies that want to limit your destiny because of their own limited mindset! It’s time to go deeper! Do not look back because God is saying to you today, it’s time to go into deep waters. Do not limit the purposes of God over your life and destiny. Go deeper, swim in the place that you were ordained to swim in. Yes, thrive in the area that you were ordained to thrive in! It’s time to go deeper!
